Rhea Ripley Corrects Social Media Misconception

Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has shot down a misconception about her stature on social media.

At the 2023 Royal Rumble, Ripley overcame 29 other women to secure her place at WrestleMania 39. There, she will challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, hoping to take back the loss she suffered to The Queen at the 36th edition of the event back in 2020.

Since the match was made official, many social media users have created ‘Tale of the tape’ graphics to compare the two stars. However, Ripley has noticed there’s an issue with a lot of them getting her stats wrong and moved to correct them once and for all.

Responding to a now-deleted tweet from Sony Sports Network which claimed The Nightmare was only 5ft 7in and 137 pounds, Ripley set the record straight.

“Seen a lot of these being made, so I’m going to correct you all. I’m 5ft 9in, 170lbs.”

Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair could headline WrestleMania 39 Night 1

While Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are set to close the second night of WrestleMania, the main event of night one is currently unknown.

While many expect the recently reunited Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to face The Usos in the top spot, a recent report suggests that is not the case and it will actually be Ripley and Flair.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision has been made for “political reasons”.

“It appears to be official at this point that the two WrestleMania main events will be Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley on 4/1, which will also include Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul, and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes on 4/2.

“We had reported weeks back that Reigns vs. Rhodes was the night two main event and that Flair vs. Ripley was favored to be the night one main event.

“When we had asked about Usos vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn headlining night one, since at the time Zayn was the company’s hottest babyface character, we were told that there were political reasons in play to where Flair vs. Ripley would most likely get that spot.”
