Rhea Ripley Comments On AEW Star Heading To WWE – “I Usually Get What I Want”

Rhea Ripley & Dominik Mysterio on Raw

Rhea Ripley has commented on speculation linking Buddy Matthews with a return to WWE.

The star originally signed with WWE back in 2013 and found some success as a Tag Team Champion on both NXT and Raw as well as winning the Cruiserweight Title. However, the star was released in June 2021, heading to New Japan Pro-Wrestling before winding up in AEW.

Matthews joined forces with Malakai Black and Brody King as the House of Black, and the group currently hold the AEW Trios Titles.

Despite this, there has been speculation, especially in 2022, that Matthews could return to WWE. This speculation has only been amplified by the success of his real-life partner Rhea Ripley on Raw.

During a recent interview with Gery Roif, Ripley was asked about the possibility of Matthews joining her in WWE.

“Ohh maybe. I don’t know. So, I’m very convincing. I’m a very convincing girl. I normally get what I want,” Ripley stated. “So, it might happen, you never know, but right now I’m happy with my DomDom. I’m happy going out there with him and Finn [Balor] and Damian [Priest] and I mean, you never know what the future holds. It might happen.”

Rhea Ripley Claims WrestleMania Match Stole The Show

Rhea Ripley is still riding high after winning the SmackDown Women’s Title from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. The match earned praise across the board, even though it wasn’t in the main event spot. Heading into the event there was a great deal of speculation about whether it would take the headline slot on night one instead of The Usos vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ripley stated that the performances by herself and Flair proved that the match could and perhaps should have headlined the show.
