A new report has revealed that Rey Mysterio was pulled from the October 2nd WWE Supershow in Puerto Rico.

Mysterio was scheduled to team with his son, Dominik, and Finn Balor at the event to take on The Bloodline – Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Usos. However, he was taken off the event and the Bloodline instead faced Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, and Cesaro.

Fightful Select has now reported that the former WWE Champion was removed from the show for an as-yet-undisclosed medical reason. The report also stated that Mysterio was briefly at the site of SmackDown for the WWE Draft where both he and Dominik were drafted to Raw.

Following news of the move breaking, Mysterio took to Twitter to say it was “Time for a new beginning” for the father and son duo.

Rey Mysterio and Dominik have been embroiled in a feud with Sami Zayn over the last few weeks. It has seen Dominik losing to Zayn on two occasions in singles action and blaming his father for the losses. With the Mysterios now heading to Raw, it remains to be seen if the feud between the three will continue on to the red brand or if Zayn will remain on SmackDown.

It is unknown how long Rey Mysterio will be out of action, we will bring you updates as we get them at Inside The Ropes.
