WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been involved in many huge matches throughout his legendary career, but there is one that always stands out.
At SummerSlam 2005, Rey faced Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match for custody of Dominik Mysterio. Rey was successful in the match and was reunited with his son after Guerrero revealed he was his biological father.
However, after the ongoing rivalry between the father and son, Rey now deeply regrets winning the match and wishes Guerrero would’ve kept him.
Speaking to BWGS Pod Rey disclosed that after everything thing that has happened between the two he wouldn’t have had the match.
“That’s a very good question that I have never been asked and now that I think about it… I wouldn’t have even had that match. I would have told Eddie, keep him. Keep him. I don’t want to risk my body. Because that was brutal. The way Domink turned out after that. But I also asked myself, what would have happened if Eddie would still be here? Like that, this whole story that has been created. It must be I think he watches a lot of his stuff and somehow there’s some sort of internal connection and I wouldn’t doubt it that Eddie’s giving him pointers from the heavens.” h/t Fightful

“As a father, there is a sense of pride that I felt throughout these past three years of watching him perform. And to my surprise here we are once again facing against each other now in a tag team match, I’m truly blown away.”
Rey also recalled his thoughts and feelings about being heavily booed at the 2014 Royal Rumble.
