There have been several grand returns to World Wrestling Entertainment in the last few months. In the latter half of 2022, we saw the returns of former superstars Braun Strowman, Johnny Gargano and Emma, among many others.
One of the most exciting recent returns was that of Bray Wyatt, who made his comeback at Extreme Rules in October. Today, his re-emergence and consistent on-screen presence makes this latest report all the more interesting. Warning, spoilers may lie ahead.
Returning WWE Star Backstage At Tonight’s RAW
According to a report from Fightful Select, former WWE superstar Bo Dallas is backstage for tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw.
This news follows a report from October where F4W Online’s Bryan Alvarez commented that Bo Dallas was to be back in WWE “very soon.”
Dallas is rumoured to be playing the role of “Uncle Howdy,” a mysterious figure who has been tormenting Bray Wyatt since his return. However, nobody can say for sure, as even most of those backstage at WWE events are unaware of the character’s portrayer. It has been said that the person behind Uncle Howdy does not remove their costume backstage, leaving their true identity secret.
Bo Dallas has not wrestled on WWE television since Crown Jewel 2019, where he and Curtis Axel lost the World Cup Tag Team Turmoil, an affair in which The OC were victorious. He and Axel were attacked by Braun Strowman a couple of weeks later on the 15th November 2019 edition of SmackDown, which would mark Dallas’ final on-screen appearance. Dallas suffered a neck injury shortly afterwards and was released by WWE in April 2021.
The real-life brother of Bray Wyatt had enjoyed mild success as part of WWE. Bo Dallas is a former NXT Champion, 24/7 Champion and Raw Tag Team Champion with Curtis Axel. With this in mind, it will be exciting to see what role he plays if he is to make his WWE return.
