RETRIBUTION Pose For Unmasked Pre-WWE Draft Photo

Mustafa Ali & Retribution

Ahead of the latest WWE Draft, Mustafa Ali has teased a possible return for RETRIBUTION with a new backstage photo.

The group that would go on to be known as RETRIBUTION arrived on WWE television in the summer of 2020. The collective made up of Dominik Dijakovic (T-Bar) Dio Maddin (Mace) Shane Thorne (Slapjack) Mia Yim (Reckoning) and briefly Mercedez Martinez, attacked announcers and repeatedly destroyed the ringside area.

Mustafa Ali was later revealed as the group’s leader on the October 5th episode of Monday Night RAW.

In the months that followed the faction feuded with the likes of The Hurt Business and The New Day. However, the group appeared to quickly run out of steam, splitting at Fastlane when Mace and T-Bar laid out Ali.

Posting on Twitter ahead of the WWE Draft, Ali has now shared an unmasked photo of the group teasing a potential reunion.

In the months after the group’s split, its members have suffered somewhat mixed fortunes. Mace and T-Bar have continued to be featured on Raw, teaming together regularly. While Ali, also on Raw, can be found teaming with Mansoor.

However, Shane Thorne and Mia Yim have disappeared from view. Thorne was last seen on television competing in the Andre Memorial Battle Royal in April, although he has featured in two dark matches on SmackDown in recent weeks.

This comes after it was reported that when he was moved to SmackDown, he was totally unaware that the switch had been made.

For her part Yim hasn’t appeared on WWE television since walking out on RETRIBUTION at Fast Lane. The former NXT Superstar hasn’t wrestled on TV since being defeated by Nikki Cross in December 2020. Yim recently addressed her status with WWE confirming that she isn’t injured.
