A new update has been provided in the strange series of events involving Ric Flair’s newest rival, Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza.
Visiting the restaurant in Gainesville, Florida, Ric Flair called out the venue as they had ejected him from the premises after he had allegedly spent $1,500 and had a disagreement with a kitchen manager who spent too long in the bathroom. With Flair having a huge social media following, fans took notice and inundated the restaurant’s Instagram page with comments about The Nature Boy’s recent visit. As there are always 2 sides to every story, Piesanos has since issued a statement.
In a statement issued to The Gainesville Sun, Piesanos co-owner Jerry Roberts said the following about the incident but would not provide specifics:
“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant. It is clear, our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation using and displaying our team values.”
Although AEW has previously used CCTV footage on their programming, the restaurant has no plans to release the footage to the public.
