The reason why Saurav has been replaced in Indus Sher has reportedly been revealed.
Since Jinder Mahal returned to WWE television he has been flanked by Dilsher Shanky and Rinku Singh who formerly performed as one half of Indus Sher. However, Singh’s former partner Saurav has been mysteriously absent.
According to Fightful Select, Saurav was replaced because he wasn’t deemed ready for television. The report also notes that Mahal has been ready for weeks in anticipation of his return.
“One half of Indus Sher, Rinku Singh, joined him along with Dilser Shanky. We were told that the other half of Indus Sher, Saurav, was deemed not television ready.”
Fightful later added an update to their report, which revealed that Saurav is currently in India.
“We’ve been told that at the moment, Saurav Gurjar is actually back home in India and has been for quite a while.”
Saurav hasn’t appeared for WWE since teaming with Singh and Drew McIntyre at WWE Superstar Spectacle in January.
Following his return to Monday Night RAW Jinder Mahal appeared on WWE’s The Bump. During the appearance the former WWE Champion explained that he felt he had “laid the blueprint” for Drew McIntyre’s recent WWE success.
Mahal who teamed with McIntyre in 3MB during both of their initial runs in WWE, said that his return and world title win wasn’t celebrated like that of his Scottish counterpart.
“My problem is not with Drew… My problem is with the idea that Drew McIntyre was celebrated as a champion, like he overcame such enormous odds. Let’s back it up. Me and Drew were part of 3MB together. Me and Drew got released the exact same day. I made it back to WWE faster, better, I became WWE Champion faster than Drew McIntyre, yet I wasn’t celebrated.”
After joining WWE in 2010, Mahal was released by the company in 2014 before returning to claim the WWE Title in 2017.
It was a move that McIntyre would replicate in 2020 after also being released by the company in 2014. However, McIntyre didn’t return to WWE until 2017.
