A new report has offered an update on Kenny Omega suggesting that he might not be back in action as quickly as first hoped.
Kenny Omega hasn’t been seen on AEW television since early November on the Dynamite following Full Gear. At the event, Omega had finally lost his AEW World Championship to Hangman Adam Page, before briefly appearing on Dynamite to confirm that he was taking time away to “fix things.”
It was noted at the time that Omega was dealing with a number of injuries, including a torn labrum in his shoulder, a hernia and issues with his knees. The star himself revealed that he had been struggling with vertigo since 2018.
It has also been reported that Omega tested positive for COVID-19 just a few weeks ago.
While no timeframe was given for the ‘Best Bout Machine’s’ return, it now appears that he might not be back as quickly as he had hoped.
Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Omega had planned on being back in action before AEW’s next pay-per-view, Revolution on March 6th. However, it now appears that won’t be the case.
“I’m not sure when Omega’s gonna be back. He had hoped to make it back for this pay-per-view, but it’s probably not gonna happen.”

Kenny Omega’s future has once again become a hot topic following the shock AEW debut of Jay White.
Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta were cutting a promo backstage with Tony Schiavone when they were interrupted by the Young Bucks. The two teams are scheduled to meet on an upcoming episode of Rampage.
The Bucks immediately challenged the pair to a fight there and then before Romero and Trent were jumped from behind by Adam Cole. With Cole and the Bucks putting the boots to their rivals, Jay White appeared and joined in the punishment.
Later in the show, The Young Bucks questioned the arrival of White, saying that Cole hadn’t told them it was happening. They also pointed out that Omega and White have had serious issues with each other in the past. Despite Cole’s assurances that the Buck’s could trust him, the brothers seemed a little unconvinced.
