The vacant NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships will be decided next week, with WWE reportedly keen to crown Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley as the champions.
The championships were officially declared vacant in a segment involving Roxanne Perez and WWE Hall of Famer Alundra ‘Madusa’ Blayze, with Perez and Cora Jade being the champions beforehand.
Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has claimed that WWE is keen to crown Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley as the new champions. They’ll be joined in a four-team Elimination match by Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon, and Toxic Attraction for the vacant straps.
Roxanna Perez and Cora Jade had served as the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions for just three weeks, with the last of those seeing Perez serve as a sole champion after Jade dropped her half of the titles in a rubbish bin. They dethroned Toxic Attraction during NXT’s Great American Bash special.

Ivy Nile signed with WWE in 2020, while Tatum Paxley was signed in August 2021. Both have been featured more regularly since teaming together, although this will mark their first time challenging for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
The titles were introduced in March 2021, with Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez crowned as the inaugural champions. Together, there have been eight reigns, with Kai and Gonzalez, and Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne holding two reigns apiece.
