Renee Paquette Is All Elite

Renee Paquette AEW All Elite

After much speculation it’s finally official, Renee Paquette has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

With AEW Dynamite coming live from her hometown of Toronto, Canada in a matter of hours, Tony Khan has announced the signing of Renee Paquette.

At time of writing it is unclear what Paquette’s role in AEW will be, but she is expected to appear on the October 12th edition of the promotion’s flagship show. The episode will also be the first to take place in Canada.

Paquette’s signing comes after much speculation which began with reports that WWE had reached out in an effort to sign their former commentator. However, those sources claimed that she was heading to AEW. This was followed by another report which suggested that her arrival was imminent.

Renee Paquette is of course the wife of current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who himself recently signed a new five-year deal with the company.

Interestingly, Moxley had been working without a contract prior to putting pen to paper on a new contract.

Renee Paquette signed with WWE in 2012, remaining with the company until August 2020. During her time with WWE, appearing under the name Renee Young, she worked in a variety of on-screen roles, becoming the first woman to hold a permanent position on the Monday Night Raw commentary team in 2018.
