Renee Paquette And Paige Call Out Bully Ray Over Comments Regarding Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley

Renee Paquette and former WWE star Paige have hit back at Bully Ray over recent comments he made about Jon Moxley.

On January 19th Jon Moxley returned to AEW television for the first time since late October. Shortly after that final appearance it had been announced that the former AEW World Champion was entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.

Moxley opened the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite looking noticeably healthier and fitter than when he last performed. In an impassioned promo, he dispatched a heckler before declaring that he was back to take the world of professional wrestling “by the balls.”

The star thanked fans for sticking by him, saying that the scars on the inside are what make us what we are, and no one should be ashamed. He said that he doesn’t run from his demons, he “beats the sh*t” out of them, adding that “now more than ever, he’s truly free.”

Moxley closed by saying that he’d been through hell, not that he’d recommend it, but he’s back, he’s thirsty and he’s dangerous, but these days all he drinks is blood!

While fans online and in the arena revelled in the appearance, Bully Ray later said that he would have liked something a little different from the former WWE star.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said he would have liked to have seen Moxley give an apology to the fans and take a “a little accountability” for his recent issues. Going even further, the WWE Hall of Famer said that he wanted Moxley to acknowledge that he may have let fans down.

Unsurprisingly, the comments have not gone down well with Moxley’s wife Renee Paquette who fired back calling them a “real bad take.” Meanwhile, former Women’s Champion Paige replied to Paquette’s tweet writing “There’s a reason everyone prefers Devon [D-Von] What an awful thing to say.”

It has been announced that Jon Moxley will be back in action on the January 21st edition of Rampage, where he will take on Ethan Page.
