WrestleMania Backlash is fast becoming WrestleMania Run-It-Backlash as the third rematch from WrestleMania 38 has been added to the card.
On Raw, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge sat on his throne while flanked by disciple Damian Priest and issued a challenge to AJ Styles for the two men to meet at WrestleMania Backlash. Styles and Edge met inside AT&T Stadium in April with Edge picking up the victory thanks to a timely distraction from Priest.
Styles quickly accepted the match meaning that there will be now at least three WrestleMania 38 rematches on the card on May 8th when WWE invades the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
In addition to Edge and Styles, Cody Rhodes will once again face off with his opponent from The Grandest Stage Of Them All as he faces Seth ‘Freaking’ Rollins.
The third rematch from The Show Of Shows sees the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line as Charlotte Flair defends her crown against ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey in an I Quit match. The only other match so far confirmed for the premium live event is The Usos and RK-Bro facing off in a Winner Take All match to unify the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
