A former WWE star has opened up on her previous run at the wrestling company.
Last year on November 1st, a report from Fightful Select and PWinsider shared the news of talents Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox parting ways with the promotion. While Corbin’s contract was not renewed, Nox and Hartwell were released from the promotion.
Tegan had re-signed with WWE in 2022 after previously being released in 2021. Enjoying the majority of her run at the promotion as a babyface, Nox recently opened up on her previous run at the company. Speaking with Highspots’ Sign-It-Live, Nox now known as Nixon Newell, claimed how her on-screen character was ‘far removed’ from her real self. Newell further said she was not allowed to be herself at the company.
“I’m very emo, pop-punk. This is me. Tegan Nox was so far removed from me that I was trying to get this through but I just wasn’t allowed. They preferred me to be the girl next door, instead of tattooed up punk kid.”

Her 90-day non-compete clause expired at the end of January, and she is now free to sign wherever she pleases.
A WWE 2K25 Dev Has Opened Up On The Upcoming DLC Announcements
With nearly two weeks left for the WWE 2K25 game launch, game developer Bryan Williams has opened up on the video game’s DLC announcements. Speaking with Matt Black of WrestleZone, he said:
“The DLC will be announced soon. So you know, fans won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what we are offering this year. Secondly, I will say that I am super stoked about this year’s DLC,” said Williams. “We’ve got some surprises, a lot of surprises. Characters that I think, if anybody thinks about it, they’re like, ‘Oh, probably this character, this superstar.’ But we have some genuine surprises, some shocking characters that I think I was shocked that we were able to do what we’re doing.
So, yeah, I’m excited, and I think the fans will be genuinely very excited about this year’s DLC offering.[There are] some wrestlers and superstars that I’m sure it feels like, ‘Oh my god, I never thought I’d have this person in this game.’ It’s a brand new world. We’re pushing the envelope. We’re trying to move mountains, to really know make our DLC as exciting and as worthwhile post launch as it possibly can be.”
