Released WWE Star “Not Writing Off” Return To The Company

Released WWE Star

A former WWE star believes that the door is not entirely closed regarding a possible return to the company.

Joining WWE in 2014, Elias first appeared in NXT before being called up to the main roster 3 years later. Although Elias never won a major championship in the company, he was regularly featured on TV with live musical performances that were interrupted by main roster stars and legends such as John Cena and The Undertaker. Additionally, the former 24/7 Champion star released 2 EPs while signed with the company, one of which went to number 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack chart.

After nearly a decade with the company, the former Drifter was let go from the company as part of the September 2023 releases. Now competing on the independents under the name Elijah, the wrestler and musician reflected on his time in the company during a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest:

“I thought it was awesome, a lot of great stuff. I had a lot of incredible, very memorable moments for me personally and probably for a lot of people. I loved it. Elias can and could and should do so much more in WWE. They only scratched the surface with my capabilities. I had a lot of great moments, some incredible guys to go up against.”

Elijah To Return To WWE?

When asked if a return could be on the cards, Elijah noted that Carlito and Drew McIntyre both returned after years away from the company and added that it is not an impossibility:

“I’d love that. Look, you see how the business works by now. You could be gone, Carlito was gone for ten years, look at Drew [McIntyre]. These things happen, for sure. Everybody has their own little story. I’m not writing it off. It’s not an immediate, man, I gotta do that. But if the opportunities come up, sure, we’ll see.”
