Released WWE Star Was Involved In A Car Crash Days After Exit

A former WWE Superstar shared she was involved in a car accident shortly after her departure.

In November 2024, it was announced that Tegan Nox departed from WWE for the second time, the first time being in 2021. She has since been wrestling as Nixon Newell, but revealed that she had a rocky beginning as a free agent after dealing with a personal matter.

On Busted Open Radio, the former Tegan Nox shared that wrestling wasn’t her priority for a couple of months due to her being involved in a car wreck shortyly after her WWE departure. She explained that after the accident, her 90-day non-compete clause came up, which is why she wasn’t able to manage wrestling for a while.

“I went through quite a lot in the last couple of months which unfortunately, like, I put out a post saying wrestling unfortunately did take a backstep for me. Within days of being released, I was in a massive car wreck. So I’d been sorting that out and then the 90 days came up, I had to go straight back home and do some shows there but, life has just been so crazy that unfortunately, wrestling did take a backstep.”

Nixon Newell shared that she shouldn’t have put wrestling “so far back” in her life, but now she is doing more self-promotions and taking initiative to arrange more appearances for her to get “back out there.”

Nixon Newell Is Not In A Hurry To Return To WWE

In the same podcast, Nixon Newell was asked about a possible WWE return. She shared that there’s a possibility it would happen in the future. However, she wants to wrestle in different promotions for now, mentioning companies like AEW, MLW, TNA, and GCW.

The former Tegan Nox, that being released from the Stamford-based promotion twice can be her sign that WWE isn’t for her. So for the mean time, she wants to wrestling in places that wanted her and have fun performing again.
