Recently Returned AEW Star Targets Mercedes Mone Next: “She Has My Title”

Mercedes Mone Issues Huge Challenge For AEW Double Or Nothing

Mercedes Mone could be looking at her next AEW TBS Championship challenger.

At Worlds End, Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander faced off against each other in a classical display of pro wrestling. Producing an almost 25-minute banger, Mone pinned Statlander to retain her title.

However, soon after her victory, a recently returned star has set her sights on Mone’s gold. Speaking to Variety, Julia Hart opened up on going after Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale, and Serena Deeb. While Nightingale defeated Hart to win the TBS Championship earlier this year, Mone is currently the reigning champion.

Definitely Mercedes (Moné), she has my title,” Hart said. “Probably Willow (Nightingale) too, she took the belt from me. I’ve never worked with Mariah (May), I’ve never worked with Toni (Storm). I would love to work with Serena Deeb, I think she’s someone I could learn a lot from in the ring.”

On 14th December, Hart returned after a long hiatus and set her sights on Jamie Hayter.

She is now scheduled to face Jamie Hayter at Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen on January 1. However, the visionary star is already looking forward to her next challenges.

Mercedes Mone Hits Out At Fan Criticising Her AEW Run

A current double champion with the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, Mone has enjoyed an eventful career since parting ways with WWE, a couple of years ago. With strong runs in NJPW and AEW, Mone has been a part of several iconic wrestling matches. However, few fans online believe her career has gone “downgrade” after leaving the Stamford-based promotion.

Addressing the criticisms, Mercedes Mone recently fired back at those fans.

I just saw someone say, ‘Downgrade has to be studied.’ B****. I am richer than I’ve ever f***ing been, putting on the greatest matches that I’ve ever had, so shut the fu*k up. I hate stupid people. I hate stupid people. *Sighs* I’m living my best life, the greatest life ever! It’s an upgrade baby, I went forward and I didn’t go back. It’s the best feeling ever to be rich in spirit, rich in your bank account, and just rich in life. It’s the best.”
