Two recently released WWE Superstars are set to debut in AEW on the upcoming Homecoming edition of Dynamite.
The team formerly known as Ever-Rise in WWE not only announced their intention to appear on Dynamite, they also called out three of AEW’s biggest names.
Appearing in a backstage promo, Matt Lee and Jeff Parker, now known as 2.0 stood side by side with Daniel Garcia. The three men then proceeded to call out Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley and Darby Allin. The caption along with the video confirmed that the huge six-man tag team match has been sanctioned by AEW President Tony Khan.
Lee and Parker were released by WWE in June 2021, having joined the company in 2019. While Daniel Garcia is no stranger to AEW having competed in numerous matches on AEW: Dark.
Garcia, who has become something of a stalwart on the independent scene, recently sat down sat down with Inside The Ropes’ own Liam Alexander-Stewart to discuss the challenges of being an independent star.

AEW Dynamite Homecoming will also see the in-ring debut of another former WWE Superstar, Malakai Black.
The man formerly known as Aleister Black arrived in AEW on July 7th in stunning style. The demonic Dutchman appeared from the darkness laying out Arn Anderson and then Cody Rhodes as he tended to his fallen mentor.
At night two of Fyter Fest it was announced that Cody Rhodes and Malakai Black will now attempt to settle their differences in the ring on August 4th.
