A recently released WWE star has revealed the toughest part of wrestling.
Last night before and after the 7th February episode of SmackDown, WWE parted ways with several of its stars. Releasing the likes of Cedric Alexander, Giovanni Vince, The Good Brothers, Blair Davenport, Isla Dawn, AOP, and Paul Ellering, the promotion also decided to not renew their contract with Pure Fusion Collective member, Sonya Deville.
A few days ahead of the unfortunate news, Sonya Deville appeared on PIX11 News and revealed the toughest aspect of pro wrestling.
“Oh, the travel. Cause I love wrestling and I love the physicality and I love everything about it pretty much. But the travel obviously can get, redundant and a lot.”

While creative booking plays an essential role in a wrestler’s career, traveling can often take a major toll on the athlete’s health and stress levels. Despite loving the sport and the physicality, Deville believes the traveling aspect can get redundant.
Just a few days before her contract expired, Sonya Deville appeared in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble and eliminated Maxxine Dupri. She is set to part ways with the promotion once her contract officially expires in the next few weeks.
Current WWE Champion Pays Tribute To Isla Dawn Following Her Release
A part of the unfortunate list of talent cuts, former women’s tag-team champion Isla Dawn is now set to part ways with WWE. Addressing her illustrations career at the promotion, current women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyeria paid tribute to the star.
“Good Riddance 😒
We’re finally free. Unfortunately she’s indestructible and i don’t think after coming all the way from hell she’ll stop here.
Good luck to the next locker room, you’ll always know when she’s in the room.. or even the building…you’ll hear her before you see her.”
