Rebel [Not Reba] Suffered A Dislocated Kneecap On AEW Dynamite

Rebel

Rebel suffered a nasty knee injury during her tag team match with Dr. Britt Baker as the pair took on Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero on AEW Dynamite.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful first reported that Rebel suffered a dislocated kneecap during the bout but added that Baker’s sidekick was said to be in good spirits backstage after being carried to the locker room area.

The injury appeared to come towards the end of the match as Baker was close to being put away by Nyla Rose after Rose levelled her with her flying knee off the top rope. Rebel came into the ring and broke up the pinfall before the referee could count to three and then immediately appeared to be in some discomfort.

Rebel crawled to the edge of the ring while the match continued around her. AEW Women’s Champion Dr Britt Baker managed to hang on and pick up the win for her team after she made everyone in attendance’s day when she shut Vickie Guerrero up in her Lockjaw submission.

This was only Rebel’s fifth official match in All Elite Wrestling and the first time she’s been on the winning side. The Oklahoma-native lost to Big Swole twice in 2020, once in a singles match and once in a handicap match where Rebel teamed with Baker and Penelope Ford. At AEW’s first house show in April 2021, Rebel teamed with Baker, Nyla Rose, and The Bunny in a losing effort against Hikaru Shida, Red Velvet, Tay Conti, and Ryo Mizunami. That was followed up by Rebel losing a one on one match against then-AEW Women’s Champion Shida.

Prior to joining AEW Rebel competed in IMPACT Wrestling as well as Ohio Valley Wrestling where she won the OVW Women’s Championship. In a varied career Rebel also played for New York Euphoria in the Lingerie Football League and was the star ‘badonkadonk’ girl in Trace Adkins’ video for his song ‘Honky-Tonk Badonkadonk.’
