Charly Caruso, the host of RAW Talk and backstage interviewer on the red brand has been absent from WWE television in recent times and we may now know why.

As initially reported by Fightful Select she has consistently been late for interviews, with recent instances involving Randy Orton and Sheamus leading to her being removed from television.

The report notes that “Vince McMahon got word of the tardiness himself and took exception to the situation.”

Charly Caruso first appeared for WWE in 2016 where she worked in NXT, notably working on the United Kingdom Championship tournament in 2017.

WWE recently announced the signing of reporter and broadcaster Kevin Patrick. At the time of his unveiling it was revealed that Patrick would be a backstage correspondent for Monday Night Raw, play-by-play commentator for WWE Main Event and as the host of Raw Talk.

It was noted at the time that his arrival may create uncertainty over the position of Caruso within the company as she currently filled two of the roles which were earmarked for Patrick.

Kevin Patrick who had previously worked a broadcaster for CNN International and Atlanta United matches on FOX Sports, as well as hosting for SiriusXM FC was in the hot seat when Drew McIntyre dropped an unintentional F–Bomb on the most recent episode of RAW Talk.

Commenting on this new step in his career, Patrick described himself as “thrilled” and “excited” to be joining WWE.

“I’m beyond thrilled to join WWE,” said Patrick. “I’ve always been blown away by the incredible charisma and athleticism of the WWE Superstars, and I’m excited at the opportunity to help tell their stories.”

Meanwhile in January Charly Caruso was announced as the host for a new podcast from ESPN called “First Take, Her Take”.

Caruso was initially hired by ESPN in October 2018. On her signing, she noted that “WWE would always be her home, but she was taking on new work with the sports network“.
