Reason Why Adam Page Will Not Appear At All Out Reportedly Revealed

Hangman Adam Page

You don’t need a hat to be a cowboy but Hangman Adam Page did need to win to get his title shot against Kenny Omega recently. Now a new report suggests that Page will not be on the upcoming All Out pay-per-view at all.

Adam Page had an opportunity to solidify himself as Kenny Omega’s number one contender for the AEW World Championship recently after several weeks as AEW’s number one ranked male wrestler. This put Page on an inevitable collision course with his former tag team partner and he was buoyed by the support of his new friends in The Dark Order.

Page and The Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds met Kenny Omega and The Elite in a ten-man elimination tag team match at AEW Fight For The Fallen. The stipulation was simple – should Page’s team win then he’d meet Omega for his title and Dark Order would get a shot at The Young Bucks’ AEW World Tag Team Championship.

After making one of the all-time iconic entrances Page and The Dark Order came up agonisingly short against their wily and ruthless opponents. With that, a mournful Adam Page suggested that maybe it’s better for all concerned that he and The Dark Order go their separate ways.

That request seems to have caused something of a rift in the group after Page suffered a beat down at the hands of The Elite. Several members of The Dark Order tried to intervene only to be stopped by Uno and Grayson who say they are only trying to respect Page’s wish.

Dave Meltzer in his most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed light on the real reason that Page won’t be competing for the title at All Out, and it’s happier news for the cowboy:

“The story on Adam Page is that he asked for time off because his wife is about to give birth so he’s not going to be on the show, which was originally scheduled as Omega vs. Page.”

At the beginning of June, Adam Page revealed the news that he and his wife Amanda are expecting their first child. Page wrote on social media that the couple were “excited, terrified but mostly overjoyed” by the news.

Kenny Omega looks set to instead defend his AEW World Championship at All Out against the undefeated Christian Cage. Cage will first challenge Omega on the inaugural episode of AEW Rampage for his IMPACT Wrestling World Championship.
