A former WWE Superstar has recalled the incident that nearly led to PAC walking away from his WWE career all the way back in 2015.
PAC was known as Adrian Neville during his tenure in NXT where he became the fourth ever NXT Champion in February 2014.
In March 2015, on the night after WrestleMania 31, PAC made his WWE main roster debut on Raw, and like so many other stars before and since he found himself without a first name and was simply known as Neville.
Now another NXT alumni and former WWE Superstar Viktor of The Ascension has recalled to the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling that the main roster debut of PAC nearly never happened as the Englishman was less than thrilled with the attire he was presented with on the night:
“I’ll never forget watching Neville walk into the locker room with the cape and one of the dumbest masks I’ve ever seen in my life. We were like, ‘What the f*ck is this?’ He almost quit that day.”
Thankfully, for all concerned, the mask never saw the light of WWE television and Neville went on to have a stellar career in the company. The Newcastle-native’s time at the company finally came to an end in 2018, months after the company had frozen it after PAC decided to stay home.
In January 2019 PAC was announced as one of the first signings of the new All Elite Wrestling promotion.
