Those watching SmackDown on Friday night might have noticed Michael Cole’s audio cutting out in one of the matches, the reason for that has now been seemingly discovered.
SmackDown on Friday undoubtedly belonged to The Usos who defeated Rk-Bro in the main event to crown themselves as Unified Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
Earlier in the night, former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Rodriguez was in action against Shotzi, hoping to do better than the week before when she unsuccessfully challenged Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Bat-eared viewers however will have noticed that when Rodriguez dropped Shotzi with her Chingona Bomb for the win, SmackDown announcer Michael Cole’s audio noticeably dropped out when he went to say the move’s name.
Bryan Alvarez speaking on the latest Bryan & Vinny Show has now apparently shed light on why Cole was censored:
There’s a famous saying in Spanish that many people know, I won’t say it here but I’ll say the English translation ‘F**k your mother’. So Raquel Gonzalez (Rodriguez) has a move called the Chingona Bomb and the word ‘Chingona’ is like a headstrong female.”
“But I believe the folks at FOX heard Chingona Bomb and thought it was the F**k You Bomb or F**k Your Bomb or something like that. So every time she does this move and the announcers call it, they bleeped it on SmackDown Friday.”
