A new report has offered an explanation as to why FTR have controversially been cut from the upcoming AEW video game Fight Forever.

On August 29th it was reported that FTR had been removed from upcoming view game AEW Fight Forever. This is despite originally being planned to be part of the release. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are one of the most high-profile tag teams in the company and currently hold the AAA, ROH and IWGP World Tag Team Titles.

While there has been no official comment on why the pair will no longer be part of the game, a new report has offered up a potential explanation.

Mike Straw of Sports Games Online suggested that the omission could be down to issues with move set captures and animation. He adds that this has caused changes to the games launch roster.

“Update re FTR/AEW Fight Forever: One reason I was told was that there were some issues with move set captures and animations. This has caused changes to game’s launch roster which includes FTR. It’s not the whole answer, but a logical reason why.”

Speaking after the news broke Dax Harwood said that their removal was a “non-issue,” while Cash Wheeler said that the pair had found out some time ago, although not initially how fans might expect.

At time of writing AEW Fight Forever remains without an official launch date.

Meanwhile, FTR are scheduled to be back in the ring at AEW All Out where they will team with Wardlow to take on Jay Lethal and the Motor City Machine Guns.
