The reason behind the recent restructuring backstage in WWE has reportedly been revealed.
The report comes after a day of further departures from the company. According to PWInsider, Brian Pellegatto, who had been Senior Vice President, Production and Jaylar Donlan, WWE’s Executive Vice President, Advanced Media Group were among those to leave WWE in the last 24 hours.
Following up those reports, PWInsider have now noted the reason behind the departures.
“PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that a number of the divisions will be folded together and will now be overseen directly by Executive Vice President, Television Production Kevin Dunn.”
“One of the reasons for so many departures is that over the last year, the company has determined there were too many redundancies across multiple departments in those areas.”
The report further explains that there had been two graphics departments which have now been merged into one. It also comments that “The Advanced Media Group was all but destroyed.”
The news of the restructuring follows an earlier report which revealed in April that Jason Jordan had been named as WWE’s lead producer. At the time of Jordan’s promotion it was suggested that WWE were making “sweeping changes” backstage. This also involved John Laurinaitis returning as Head of Talent Relations.
Thanks to @WWE for a wonderful opportunity. The weekly travel along with my other jobs was a grind for me and my family. Am grateful to everyone with the company especially @WWEGraves and @ByronSaxton for being such fantastic teammates. https://t.co/lrP0fCAMXz

WWE have also announced that they have parted ways with Adnan Virk.
Virk landed the lead role at the RAW announce booth on April 12th, saying that he was “elated” to join the company.
However, while Virk has an extensive sports background having worked for ESPN and the MLB Network, the Canadian had faced criticism for his performances with WWE.
