Reason For Match Restart On WWE RAW Revealed

Nia Jax

There appeared to be a botched count out finish during the six-woman tag team match on Monday’s WWE RAW, which had to be restarted.

According the PW Insider, the match (which saw Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and Charlotte Flair go up against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Lacey Evans) was made after Flair vs. Baszler in singles action ended in a DQ due to interference by Jax.

The six-woman tag team match itself then awkwardly ended in a count out as Flair was bringing Baszler back into the ring. PW Insider reports that the referee legitimately counted Baszler out, leading to Adam Pearce being sent out to improvise a restart.

While the match restarted, WWE aired video that showed Adam Pearce coming out during the commercial break. The match went on for several more minutes and ended with the heels getting the win after Jax pinned Brooke who herself looked to take a heavy bump in the process.

On a related note, PW Insider also report that Brooke was said to be 100% OK backstage after the match.

Mandy & Dana still have their eyes set on grabbing tag-team gold, Charlotte and Lacy are still to air their grievances in the ring and we wait to see whether the Baszler/Jax team can still function once the Women’s Royal Rumble match ends on Sunday.
