Despite a message implying that Daniel Bryan was set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame it has now been confirmed that is in fact not the case.
Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot the message on streaming service Peacock and the WWE Network, referring to Bryan as “WWE 2021 Hall Of Fame Inductee.”
However, this was swiftly revealed to simply be an error, and now, more details have come to light.
According to PWInsider the cause of the error was when a selection of Daniel Bryan related videos were added to a subtitle for a collection of Eric Bischoff videos that had also been posted. While the message was removed within minutes, screenshots of the error had already begun to circulate on the internet.
While Daniel Bryan may not be heading into the Hall of Fame just yet, his wife Brie Bella along with her sister Nikki will be inducted in the run up to WrestleMania as part of the class of 2020. The classes of 2020 and 2021 are set to be inducted together after the cancelation of last years event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The class of 2021 is now fully beginning to take shape with Molly Holly, Eric Bischoff and most recently
Kane being announced as inductees. It has also been confirmed by WWE India that The Great Khali will be inducted alongside those mentioned above.
At time of writing Daniel Bryan’s plans for WrestleMania are more uncertain. While the leader of the Yes Movement, tasted defeat against Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Fastlane, mainly due to Edge and a steel chair, it has been reported that he will be added to the match between Edge and Reigns at WrestleMania.
Daniel Bryan of course has history as a late addition to WrestleMania matches, famously winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30, defeating Randy Orton and Batista in the main event.
