Real Reason Why Damian Priest Was Left Out Of WWE Wrestlepalooza

Damian Priest’s affection for music is well-known. He considers himself a metalhead and even has Slayer’s guitarist Kerry King playing for his WWE entrance theme.

In April, it was announced that Damian Priest would host a Slayer concert at Hersheypark Stadium on September 20 – the date on which WWE is set for Wrestlepalooza. Triple H recently made public that the Premium Live Event was a last-minute decision that led to the rushed announcement and events leading up to it. Now, the concert was announced a good few months ago. And it could be a plausible reason why Damian Priest is not booked for any major feud of late, especially heading into a Premium Live Event.

Although things are heating up in his rivalry with Aleister Black on SmackDown. Black attacked Priest, leading to a short time away from in-ring competition, which resulted from a hairline jaw fracture.

Last week, Aleister Black defeated the former World Champion in a singles match, but Priest struggled to put up a fight.

Damian Priest Is Stoked For His Role In Slayer’s Upcoming Concert

The Archer of Infamy is heavily influenced by Slayer, so much so that he named his signature move, the South of Heaven, after the band’s single from their album of the same name.

Damian Priest is eagerly looking forward to his new role at the Slayer concert. The thrash metal band formed in 1981 is considered one of the Big Four alongside Metallica. Anthrax and Megadeth.

“I’ve been a Slayer fan since I was a kid. The metal/wrestling connection is special. Slayer’s legacy is part of wrestling’s fabric, and metal owes them a lot. I’m honored to host Slayer’s show and bring wrestling to their world. 9/20 — Hershey Park Stadium, PA: will I see you there?”

Damian Priest has come a long way in his WWE run. At WrestleMania last year, he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre to win his first World Title reign.
