Rhea Ripley will defend her RAW Women’s Title against Asuka and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania Backlash.
After winning her first title on the main roster, Ripley was in the midst of defending her crown on the RAW after WrestleMania against Asuka when a returning Charlotte Flair attacked both champion and challenger.
Flair herself returned to action a week later when she was defeated by Asuka with a helping hand from Ripley. Charlotte then attacked a number of WWE officials causing her to be suspended. On last week’s RAW, Flair was reinstated.
On the same show, Rhea Ripley teamed with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to defeat Asuka, Lana and Naomi.

However, after it was initially announced that Asuka would be facing Ripley at WrestleMania Backlash, Flair took exception to the situation. After seeing off Dana Brooke, Flair demanded that Sonya Deville add her to the match, and Deville duly delivered.
To date only two other matches have been announced for WWE’s first post WrestleMania pay-per-view. Rhea Ripley’s counterpart on SmackDown, Bianca Belair will defend her title against Bayley, while Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman will take on Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship.
