For the last few weeks, fans have seen the development of an emerging rivalry between MFT’s Solo Sikoa and former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.
While Zayn defeated Sikoa during last week’s SmackDown episode in Quebec City, Sikoa and his faction avenged it during this week’s Raw episode, where they interfered during Zayn and Rusev’s match.
Reflecting on the incident and addressing it, Zayn appeared during the opening segment of tonight’s August 15th edition of SmackDown and confronted Sikoa. Discussing his choice of leaving the World title pursuit behind momentarily, Zayn publicly announced his desire to go after Sikoa’s United States Championship instead.
Sami Zayn announced himself as an official addition to the SmackDown roster before challenging Sikoa’s US title. However, it would soon break out into complete chaos as The MFT attacked Zayn, who would then be saved by Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu.
Fans later saw SmackDown GM Nick Aldis come out and announce a six-man tag-team match between Zayn, Fatu, Uso, and The MFT.
Sami Zayn’s Lack Of WWE Main Roster Success Recently Called Out
“That’s right, he’s got to say that Kross told the truth, which everybody already knows anyway. I wouldn’t agree with you that his rise was organic, I mean, he was piggybacking off Roman Reigns to get to where he’s been and ever since he hasn’t been able to piggyback off Roman Reigns, he hasn’t found the same success he did. Let’s just tell the truth here, you’re being nice. You’re trying to be unbiased. Let’s tell the truth, he’s a manipulator and a liar.”’
