WWE Raw 30 Set

WWE have touted the success of the special Raw anniversary 30th show which took place on January 23rd in Philadelphia.

In a post on the company website, WWE hailed the event as a “defining night for the red brand.” The post adds that the episode was the highest domestic gate in the history of Monday Night Raw.

Sami Zayn Survives And The Undertaker Returns As WWE Break Records

The show opened (via an introduction from Hulk Hogan) with the highly anticipated Tribal Court segment which saw The Bloodline gather to pass judgement on Sami Zayn. After running through his introduction, Reigns handed the microphone over to Paul Heyman. The Special Counsel put forward the case for the prosecution, showing a series of clips that featured Zayn not serving the family. In response, Zayn said that he had no defence and sat down.

This seemed to enrage Reigns who ordered Solo Sikoa to attack him. However, Jey Uso jumped in to make the save and showed his own clips of Zayn helping The Bloodline. In the end, Reigns found the Honorary Uce not guilty but said he would face a “final test” at the Royal Rumble.

The Usos went on to defend their Raw Tag Team Titles against the Judgment Day with more than a little help from Zayn. During the bout, Jimmy Uso went down with a leg injury and Zayn stepped in to replace him. Zayn and Jey Uso hit the 1D to grab the win to the delight of the crowd.

The show also saw the return of The Undertaker as he confronted LA Knight. The pair were quickly interrupted by Bray Wyatt, with the American Badass and Wyatt sharing a special ‘torch-passing’ moment in the ring.

In the main event, Austin Theory retained his United States Title with a win over Bobby Lashley. Not that he knew much about it. Their wild brawl was interrupted by Brock Lesnar who delivered an F-5 to Lashley. He then repeated the trick on Theory but planted the champion onto Lashley meaning he pinned the challenger.
