Randy Orton To Enter Royal Rumble At #1, Two Other Entrant Numbers Announced

Randy Orton

Three entrant positions have been announced for the Royal Rumble, as Natalya enters the women’s match at #30, while the men’s match will start with Randy Orton and Edge renewing their rivalry.

Randy Orton will have to stand the test of time if he’s to win the Royal Rumble, as it’s been announced on WWE Backstage that The Viper will enter the match at number one.

Even more interestingly, a rivalry will be renewed instantly as the returning Edge will enter the match at number two. The Rater-R Superstar had announced on this week’s RAW that he’d return to the ring this year, one year after his shocking return after eight years away.

Edge suffered torn triceps at WWE Backlash during the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever against Randy Orton, who he’ll face in the ring at the Royal Rumble. The match marked only Edge’s third match back in WWE, and his second singles match, having returned at the Royal Rumble and faced The Viper in a Last Man Standing Match at WrestleMania.

Natalya will enter the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at number 30 after defeating Tamina in a match airing on WWE Backstage.

The WWE Royal Rumble streams live on the WWE Network on January 31st. Full details on how, when and where to watch the Royal Rumble are available here.
