Off the back of his record-breaking appearance at Survivor Series, Randy Orton broke another WWE record on Monday Night Raw.
At Survivor Series Randy Orton had his 177th WWE pay-view-view appearance when he teamed with Riddle to defeat The Usos. The appearance took him past Kane who held the record previously. The new milestone has also been acknowledged by Guinness World Records.
The top five is competed by The Undertaker (174) Triple H (173) and John Cena on 163. The highest-ranking female Superstar on the list is Charlotte Flair who has appeared at 58 events.
As of November November 29th, Orton has now also competed in more matches on Monday Night Raw than anyone in history. Upon teaming with Riddle against The Dirty Dawgs, The Viper wrestled his 437th match on the red brand. Again, the previous record had been held by Kane.
Posting on social media ahead of Survivor Series, Orton discussed the feat, thanking fans for their support, describing it as “hard to believe.” It should be noted that there are some conflicting figures around the record, but with The Viper staking his claim on the milestone, who better to know the details than the man himself.
Randy Orton is also third on the all-time list for World Championship reigns alongside Triple H with 14.
Elsewhere on Raw, Seth Rollins announced that he will meet Big E for the WWE Championship at WWE Day 1. Rollins earned the opportunity after winning a Fatal-Four-Way Ladder Match back in October.
It has also been confirmed that Becky Lynch will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan on the upcoming episode of the show. During a fiery promo exchange between the pair on the latest edition of the show, Morgan referenced WWE’s recent releases. Her comments reportedly “left a bad taste” in the mouths of other Superstars.
Meanwhile, Edge marked his own return to Raw with a tense war of words with an also returning Miz and Maryse.
