WWE veteran Randy Orton has opened up on his future.
A part of World Wrestling Entertainment for over two decades, Randy Orton is now slowly moving toward the dusk of his career. Despite battling back pain, surgeries, and other numerous injuries, Orton arguably looks in one of the best shapes of his career.
Previously scheduled to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41, he was now in search of a new opponent after Kevin Owens was sidelined with a serious injury. While the search for his rival continues, at 45 years, The Apex Predator recently addressed his future with WWE.
Speaking to Raj Prashad of Complex, Orton said,
“I’d love to sign another five-year contract after that. I know realistically there’s gonna be a day when I gotta stop. But it’s like, I don’t even think about that because I’m having so much fucking fun right now.
“Knowing that it was all taken away from me, or almost was all taken away from me. Just knowing that I can’t do it forever, it’s just every second I’m around the guys in the locker room, that camaraderie, there’s nothing like it. Every second I’m in the ring feeling the energy from those fans, there’s nothing like it. And knowing that there’s a cap on that, it just makes it easier to make sure that I’m just always enjoying this.”
The Viper had signed a five-year deal with WWE in 2024, which will keep him with the promotion till 2029. With four years still left on his contract, Orton has already pledged his loyalty to the promotion.
With less than a week left for WrestleMania 41, the former World Champion is now highly rumored to face either Solo Sikoa or Nick Aldis at The Showcase of the Immortals.
Randy Orton Has Named Wrestling’s Greatest Mind
Speaking in a recent video on WWE’s YouTube channel, Randy Orton declared Triple H as wrestling’s greatest mind.
“When I think of Triple H, I think of the greatest mind this business has ever seen. You hear about, you know, the goats, the boats, you know, the greatest of all time. I really think Triple H could be the greatest, definitely top three greatest in-ring performers of all time.”
