Rachael Ellering has returned to IMPACT Wrestling. The former NXT Superstar is now set to team with Jordynne Grace to take on Fire N Flava at IMPACT Rebellion.
It was initially reported in March that Ellering had appeared at the latest set of IMPACT tapings, but we now know that the star will make her in-ring return at the up coming pay-per-view.
On the April 15th edition of IMPACT, Jazz was giving a retirement speech following her loss to Deonna Purrazzo at Hardcore Justice. However, the legend was interrupted by Knockouts tag team champions Fire ‘N Flava. This led to an impromptu match between Jazz, Jordynne Grace (who Jazz had been addressing at the time) and Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, with Jazz and Grace upsetting the champions.
After the match, backstage Scott D’Amore offered Jazz and Grace an opportunity at the titles at Rebellion, but Jazz turned the match down, choosing to honour her retirement. However, she said that she would be naming another star in her place.
On April 22nd during a match between Kiera Hogan and Jordynne Grace, Steelz joined the match to attack Grace and Ellering ran down to make the save. The huge tag team match was then set for Rebellion.
Rachael Ellering briefly appeared with IMPACT back in 2017, before heading to WWE.
Appearing under the name Rachael Evers, competed in the both of the Mae Young Classic tournaments held to date, but failed to progress further than the second round.
Ellering officially joined WWE in 2019 and soon began appearing on the black and gold brand under her real name. However, she was side-lined by an injury only a handful of months into her run.
The Minnesota native was released by WWE in 2020 as part of the company’s cost cutting measures brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following her release, Ellering appeared for AEW on a couple of occasions, notably on AEW Dark, although she wasn’t signed by the company.
