R-Truth Discusses Why Vince McMahon Hates Banned WWE Word

WWE veteran and perennial 24/7 Champion R-Truth has explained why WWE Chairman Vince McMahon hates a certain word that he’s banned from TV.

R-Truth rejoined WWE in 2008 and has been an entertaining part of the roster ever since. In that time he has captured the WWE United States Championship twice as well as holding the WWE Tag Team Title and the 24/7 Championship an astonishing 53 times.

Speaking to Bally Sports’ Brandon Robinson, R-Truth discussed why he would welcome the opportunity to win any championship in WWE and why you can’t dare call them belts in front of Vince McMahon:

“I mean, I’m an accepting guy. I’ll take ANY belt and take it to the highest of beltstivity [laughs]. That’s what I do. Whether if it’s WWE — and it’s not called a belt. It’s called a championship or a title. Vince McMahon says a belt is something you use to keep your pants up. So it’s a championship title, you see what I’m sayin’? [laughs]”

“[…] But I would take any of those championship titles because they’re all prestigious titles and it’s an accomplishment. If you win one of the Tag [Team] Titles, it’s an accomplishment. So I think that any one of ‘em I think that you would be honored to have.”

49-year-old R-Truth recently competed at Survivor Series as part of the Battle Royal to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Rock’s WWE debut. At the same event in 2011, R-Truth teamed with The Miz to take on the unlikely team of John Cena and The Rock.
