R-Truth Has Hilarious Response For Edge “Not Counting” The 24/7 Title

Edge R-Truth

R-Truth has fired back with a hilarious shot at Edge after the Rated-R Superstar said he didn’t count the 24/7 Championship as a major belt in WWE.

You would be hard pushed to find some championship or special event that Edge hasn’t won during his WWE Hall Of Fame career. A fourteen-time tag team champion with a plethora of partners including Christian and Hulk Hogan, Edge also captured the Intercontinental Championship on five occasions as well as holding the US Championship once. If this wasn’t enough the Canadian star is an eleven-time world champion in the company having held the World Heavyweight Championship seven times and the WWE title in four separate reigns.

Gold is not the only accolades Edge counts among the many he has collected in his career. In 2001 he became King Of The Ring and in 2005 he became the inaugural Mr. Money In The Bank. In 2010 he added winning the Royal Rumble to his list of achievements before repeating the feat in 2021, becoming just the third man in history to win the match from the number one spot.

Speaking on a recent edition of Talking Smack, Edge discussed his many achievements as he readies himself to challenge Roman Reigns for one title he has never held – the WWE Universal Championship. During the discussion, Edge discounted the 24/7 Title – a belt he has also never held but not one he values as a serious WWE Championship.

That remark was bad news for fellow WWE Superstar R-Truth. Truth is an incredible 52-time 24/7 Champion, holding the title on over forty more occasions than his nearest rival, current champion Akira Tozawa.

R-Truth took to social media to counter Edge’s statement and declared that if the 24/7 Title doesn’t count then neither does Edge’s 31 title reigns.

Truth Tweeted:

“@EdgeRatedRI don’t count your 31 championship either so we even”

Edge goes one-on-one with Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Money In The Bank, Sunday, July 18th.
