WWE Evolution II is set to hit the air in just a few hours, and an interesting situation has developed with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. With Triple H and his team finalizing plans for tonight’s historic PLE, there are also potential spoilers emerging on a few of tonight’s key title matches.
The Queen and WWE’s Five Feet of Fury will team up tonight at Evolution II, representing SmackDown in a Fatal 4 Way with Women’s Tag Team Champions Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of RAW, NXT’s Sol Ruca and Zaria, plus RAW’s Kairi Sane and Asuka. Bliss and Flair teamed up for the first time on SmackDown last month to become the new #1 contenders.
All three challenging tag teams were basically long shots to dethrone The Judgment Day going into Friday’s SmackDown go-home show. As the tension between Flair and Bliss seemed to lighten up, Flair took some of their opponents out at ringside as Bliss defeated Ruca, Sane, and Perez in a Fatal 4 Way preview. The SmackDown angle and an apparent internal update have seemingly shifted the odds for tonight’s title match in a major way.seemed to push
Bliss and Flair went from somewhat long shots to underdogs in the last few weeks. Going into Friday night, Perez and Rodriguez (-400 then) were still the favorites to retain over Bliss and Flair (+200 then), Asuka and Sane (+650 then), Ruca and Zaria (+1000 then). However, there was a significant shift overnight, and while The Judgment Day (-175) are still a not-as-strong favorite, Bliss and Flair (-110) are now viewed as much stronger contenders with better chances at taking home gold, with some viewing the Superstar duo as a slight favorite, in a much better position than The Kabuki Warriors (+1000), and the NXT representatives (+1800).
WWE officials are set to crown new champions at Evolution II, if the recent shift holds true, and updated odds are correct. Rhea Ripley (-350) is the favorite to become a three-time Women’s World Champion by dethroning IYO SKY (+225). Furthermore, Jordynne Grace (-250) is expected to dethrone Jacy Jayne (+170) of the NXT Women’s Championship. The winner will face TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary XXI on July 20 in a Winner Takes All match for both titles.
