Potential Future WWE Matches For The Rock Post-WrestleMania 40

Potential Future WWE Matches For The Rock Post-WrestleMania 40

Dave Meltzer has stirred up speculation about The Rock’s potential extended involvement in WWE for the rest of this year.

Meltzer, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, indicated that The Rock is poised to step back into the squared circle to face Roman Reigns in a match post-WrestleMania. Furthermore, Meltzer hinted at the possibility of The Rock engaging in a singles match against Cody Rhodes, potentially at SummerSlam. Meltzer’s insights shed light on The Rock’s anticipated return to WWE after an extended hiatus from in-ring competition. According to Meltzer, The Rock’s showdown with Roman Reigns is expected to materialise following WrestleMania, indicating that The Rock’s comeback is not limited to a single match. Meltzer emphasised:

The thought is this is not going to be his only match this year. Whether it’s Saudi Arabia, whether it’s SummerSlam, he’s probably going to wrestle Roman Reigns coming off of this. That’s always been the plan.

In addition to the highly-anticipated clash with Reigns, Meltzer suggested the likelihood of The Rock engaging in a singles match against Cody Rhodes, particularly if Rhodes secures a title victory. This potential encounter with Rhodes could potentially take place at SummerSlam, marking another significant milestone in The Rock’s return to active competition in WWE.

I think he’s probably gonna do a singles match with Cody probably, if Cody wins the title, I can easily see them doing that match.

In recent news, Logan Paul has confirmed the venue for SummerSlam.

It has been reported that an expected WrestleMania 40 match may no longer be taking place.
