Twelve-year-old Gracie Pugh is now back at home after being released from the hospital as she continues her recovery from injuries sustained in the car crash that took the life of her father Jay Briscoe.
Jimin Pugh, better known as Jay Briscoe passed away after being involved in a car crash on January 17th. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident also died as a result of their injuries.
Both Gracie and her sister, nine-year-old Jayleigh were traveling in the vehicle with Briscoe at the time and suffered a number of serious injuries.
In a recent post on social media, Briscoe’s wife, Ashley Pugh shared a photo celebrating the return home of Gracie writing “Got all my babies back together.”
A further update on the recovery of Gracie and Jaylegh was then shared on a family friend’s Facebook page.
“Her muscles in her legs are really starting to fire up, so they want to keep it a very intense therapy,
This girl has went from nothing to doing some assisted walking. We’re still going to pray hard for movement below the knee, because it’s not where it needs to be. The doctors can feel her trying to move her ankles and toes and stuff, but we’re just not getting that movement yet. But things are progressing I would say ahead of schedule.”
Fundraising Efforts For Jay Briscoe’s Family Continue
Jayleigh was released from the hospital earlier in February and is no longer required to wear a neck brace. However, she needs to wear a back brace and external fixator for another four weeks.
A fundraising campaign for the family has now raised more than a staggering $345,000. For more information or to make a donation, click here.
Following his brother’s death, Mark Briscoe has begun to appear regularly on AEW Dynamite, signing an official AEW contract.
