Big E has given a positive update to fans as he begins his recovery from a broken neck.
The March 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown was marred by a serious injury suffered by former WWE Champion Big E. During a tag team match which saw the star team with Kofi Kingston to take on Sheamus and Ridge Holland, one particular spot went badly wrong.
After falling to the outside of the ring, Big E was given an Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex by Holland. However, instead of the New Day star landing flat on his back, he landed on his head and neck. While Big E was taken to the backstage area on a stretcher, it was later confirmed that he had broken his neck. Although the man himself has since revealed that he won’t require surgery.
Despite this, former WWE consulting physician Dr. David Chao has warned that the injury may still result in the end of Big E’s career.
In a fresh update, the star has revealed that he has left hospital and is now recuperating at home. Big E was responding to a message from NFL star Andre Smith who offered his help.
Appreciate you, man. I’m actually home now but Birmingham took good care of me.

On March 14th it was reported that the former Intercontinental Champion had been factored into plans for a match at WrestleMania before suffering the injury. The bout would have seen The New Day reunite in full force to take on Sheamus, Ridge Holland and the newly debuted Butch.
Also on SmackDown Pete Dunne made his main roster debut, being introduced by Sheamus as Butch. After the match between Sheamus and Holland and Big E and Kofi Kingston, Butch helped beatdown Kingston to leave him laying.
