Popular NXT tag team is back together.
Over 580 days ago, two of the most popular NXT stars, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, fought together as a tag team. At NXT Vengeance Day 2024, Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams suffered a loss against Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin at the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2024 Final.
This marked the duo’s final match as a team before they began a feud against each other. Following Hayes’ loss against Williams at Stand & Deliver 2024, he moved onto the main roster, while Trick began his championship run in NXT.
Now, after almost 585 days, the duo has reunited. Last week, fans saw DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) trouble Williams. As fans witnessed a similar situation tonight, it was Williams’ former partner, Carmelo Hayes, who made the save.
However, the segment also featured a tense moment between Williams and Hayes, who got engaged in a heated argument, before switching their focus to DIY.
Later in the show, it was announced that next week at NXT Homecoming, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes will go against DIY.
While Trick Williams is currently focused on his TNA World title, Hayes is in a tag team with The Miz on SmackDown.
