SmackDown took place in Lyon, France, one of WWE’s loudest and enthusiastic crowds ever experienced in their history.

WWE SmackDown Was Filled With Ups and Downs

Kiana James made her in-ring debut on SmackDown against Michin. The two had been butting heads backstage, with Michin hinting at a title opportunity towards Giulia’s Women’s US Title. Unfortunately, James’ first match ended up being memorable but for all the wrong reasons. Michin quickly swooped in and pinned her within ten seconds of the bell ringing.

John Cena apologized to the little boy he tore into on RAW in Brussels, Belgium, in March this year. Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton found themselves on opposite sides of the ring. The Scottish Warrior taunted Orton’s friendship with Cody Rhodes.

During the show, WWE acknowledged the newest addition to Cody Rhodes’ family, as announced by his wife, Brandi Rhodes, yesterday.

Alexa Bliss defeated Chelsea Green in a singles match. The Secret HERvice wasn’t having it, so they launched on Bliss, and Charlotte Flair made a save. The tension between The Miz and Carmelo Hayes continued to reach the brink, with many fans on the edge of their seats, anticipating a betrayal.
