Popular Lucha Libre AAA Star In Town For WWE SummerSlam

Mr.Iguana WWE

Fan favorite Lucha Libre AAA star has arrived for SummerSlam 2025.

Spoiler alert.

Earlier this year, after the successful conclusion of the Worlds Collide AAA PLE, WWE secured the likes of several AAA stars such as Mr.Iguana, Psycho Clown, and a few more.

Now, just hours before ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’, Lucha Libre AAA star Mr.Iguana has arrived in town for the festivities. As World Wrestling Entertainment prepares for its first-ever two-night SummerSlam, Fightful Select recently noted that the 37-year-old star (who is signed to a WWE/AAA deal) is in the New Jersey area, where SummerSlam, SmackDown, and Raw are scheduled to take place over the next few days.

Fightful Select also reported that while the luchador is expected to be at the shows, his active backstage involvement is not yet known. Additionally, a promoter recently pulled both Mr. Iguana and Psycho Clown from indie shows this weekend because the Stamford-based promotion had called them for the events.

A Former Champion Once Mocked Mr.Iguana’s WWE Push

Last month, following Mr.Iguana’s rising popularity and rumored push, former World Wrestling Entertainment star and champion Baron Corbin took to social media and mocked the promotion over reports of the lucha libre star’s push.

“I’m not gonna lie. I would love it if every future Star just picks an animal and becomes an animal. Give me entire company is different animals from all over the world. That would make me laugh.”

Additionally, in another interview with Línea Directa TV, the Mexican wrestler had opened up on World Wrestling Entertainment’s supposed plans for him.

“They told me, you’re not going through NXT — you’re heading straight to the main roster.”
