This top AEW star is now $100,000 richer.
The early hours of the 3rd May episode of AEW Collision hosted the “$100,000 high-speed collision four-way” with the winner supposedly earning prize money of $100,000. The match saw ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara (With Dustin Rhodes) pitched against AR Fox, Kevin Night, and Rush.
After a ten-minute-long match, it was Guevara who picked up the victory, pinning Fox, and concluded the segment by celebrating with Rhodes. With TNT Champion Adam Cole on commentary, Guevara also signalled toward Cole, indicating a future title shot. Notably, Guevara is a three-time TNT Champion, with title reigns spanning 2021 and 2022.
Soon enough, after his victory on Collision tonight, his wife, AEW star Tay Melo, posted a hilarious tweet on X(Twitter).
“100k to buy toys.. for Luna ❤️ hahahaha
@sammyguevara
we are so proud of you”
Melo became a mother in November 2023 and has yet to make her AEW return. Although she made a brief return to STARDOM in Japan in January 2025.
Ric Flair Opens Up About His AEW Absence
In late 2023, Ric Flair was presented as a gift from AEW President Tony Khan to honour Sting’s retirement tour. However, the Nature Boy soon went missing from television appearances. Recently, during an interview on From The Master’s Class, Ric Flair explained the cause.
“The reason I’m not on TV now is Tony [Khan] didn’t know I was on blood thinners. That’s why. At Sting’s last match, I had already made a blade. I was ready to go. He said [no]… I made blades for all the guys in the old days.
“If I couldn’t cut myself, we weren’t gonna make it through the match. You try wrestling Rufus R. Jones for an hour… That’s a long hour-Broadway.”
