One former champion talked forming a new faction after being “lost in the shuffle” in AEW.
For years, Orange Cassidy was aligned with Trent Barretta and Chuck Taylor in Best Friends. However, numerous injuries and betrayals have rendered the group moot, and Cassidy now finds himself in a new faction called The Conglomerate alongside Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, and Willow Nightingale.
Speaking in a new interview on The Morning News with Nancy and Jason, Cassidy heaped special praise on teammate Willow Nightingale, saying:
“Right now, I’m going to have to say, I love watching Willow Nightingale. She is a superstar and she is rising and continues to rise. She has been traveling all around the world and doing spectacular stuff. Willow is part of our group.”
“We All Came Together” – Orange Cassidy On Forming The Conglomeration In AEW
Continuing, the former International Champion explained that each member of the group had previously been “lost in the shuffle” in All Elite Wrestling and they’re combining their expertise in this new faction.
“We have a group of people that have been lost in this shuffle, this giant roster, that we really didn’t have a place and we all came together and we’re called the Conglomeration. You can look that up. I love watching Mark Briscoe, he’s part of it, and Kyle O’Reilly. You have Mark Briscoe is more brawling, hard-hitting, rough and tough. Kyle is a very technical, skilled striker. Then, I put my hands in my pockets. We do a pretty good job of filling out the spectrum of professional wrestling.”
In another recent interview, Cassidy made a bold claim about AEW’s current women’s division. Cassidy is set to take on Chris Jericho on the September 18th episode of Dynamite.
At WrestleDream, a veteran star told Orange Cassidy he could become ‘the man’ in AEW if he wanted to be.
