Plans In Place For Mercedes Mone To Lead Returning AEW Team

Mercedes Mone

Big plans are reportedly set for Mercedes Mone.

A part of AEW since early last year, Mercedes Mone is currently enjoying a winning streak in AEW. As the current TBS Champion, big plans are reportedly set in place for The CEO. Defeating Yuka Sakazaki on the recent episode of Collision, she is also rumored to face Harley Cameron at Grand Slam Australia.

Despite her recent breakup with former partner Kamille, Mone is reportedly set to lead a returning tag-team. As per Fightful Select, the Renegade Twins (Charlette Renegade & Robyn Renegade) were present backstage Dynamite last week in Huntsville, AL (January 29). The tag-team is highly expected to return to the Jacksonville-based promotion soon.

According to the report, the Renegade Twins have “long been discussed” for a partnership with Mone, suggesting the current champion to lead them. A current triple title champion with TBS Championship, NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, Mone is arguably enjoying the run of her life.

In 2023, the twins’ last joint appearance was at a Ring of Honor event while Robyn Renegade has continued to compete in ROH/AEW her sister Charlette has been inactive. Charlette recently returned to action on 15th November, 2024.

Mariah May Believes She Is A Bigger Star Than Mercedes Mone

Recently speaking to Going Ringside, Women’s Champion Mariah May declared herself a bigger star than Mercedes Mone. She further commented on how Mone could keep all of her current titles since none of them are World championships.

“I mean, I’m here doing this, not her, for a reason because I’m a bigger star and I’m the world champion. She can have all these titles because she needs to because none of them are the world title.”
