Plans For Bray Wyatt On WWE SmackDown To Involve The Fiend [SPOILER]

The Fiend Bray Wyatt holding his face

Bray Wyatt stunned the world with his return to WWE at Extreme Rules, revealing himself to have been behind the mysterious QR code clues that had been popping up on WWE programming for weeks.

After Matt Riddle was victorious in the main event of WWE Extreme Rules, the lights in the arena went off and fans held up their phones to create the familiar firefly effect that was synonymous with Wyatt during his previous run with the company. Live versions of the Firefly Funhouse characters were shown throughout the arena, and a severed Fiend head appeared on the announce table before a mysterious masked figure appeared carrying a lantern. Bray Wyatt removed the mask, said “I’m here,” and blew out the lantern to end the show.

The next Friday on SmackDown, he cut an emotional promo before being interrupted by the masked version of himself. Then, on October 21st the star cut another promo where things took a more sinister turn with the former Universal Champion claiming that he was ready to do “horrible, horrible things,” and would do whatever “the circle” required.

Is Bray Wyatt Revealing The Fate Of The Fiend On WWE SmackDown?

According to a new report from Fightful Select, plans as of Thursday call for several pieces of Bray Wyatt’s past to play into his segment on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Specifically, the rocking chair that he used during his first run in both NXT and WWE is being brought in.

The report goes on to note that the mask worn by Wyatt’s persona as The Fiend is also set to be featured, but not in the way one might think. Current plans call for the mask to be ripped up, either by Wyatt himself or by another talent, indicating that The Fiend could finally be laid to rest.

Further details in the report appear to put to rest the idea of Bray Wyatt feuding with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns any time soon, as a source in WWE creative said that any rumors to that effect were false. The source also stated that the company learned from Bray Wyatt’s previous run as The Fiend, indicating that the company wants to take more care with his character this time around.
