Piper Niven Makes Shock Return To Raw, Declares Herself Women's Tag Team Champion

Piper Niven made a triumphant return to WWE on the August 14 episode of Raw and declared herself as a Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Niven was featured in a backstage segment featuring Chelsea Green and WWE official Adam Pearce discussing the future of the Women’s Tag Team Championship, following Sonya Deville‘s unfortunate injury.

During the conversation, Green passionately advocated for keeping the belts despite her partner’s absence. However, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance approached Green and Pearce, expressing their desire for a title shot once Green finds a new partner. Little did they know that Green’s search for a partner would be short-lived.

Within moments, Piper Niven stormed onto the scene, launching a devastating attack on both Carter and Chance. Niven then walked up to Green and said “I’m your new partner”.

Green expressed that she was holding auditions for the role of her tag-team partner and that Niven should leave her name and number with her. Niven took hold of one of the Women’s Tag Team Championship belts and boldly declared herself Green’s new partner.

Prior to this segment, Green had been receiving submissions on social media for her talent show “Chelsea’s Got Talent” which she had coined in order to find herself a new tag-team partner while Deville is out with an injury. Green has had some interesting submissions, including a submission from R-Truth who declared his desire to become one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

When Did Piper Niven Last Appear In WWE?

Niven’s last appearance in WWE was during a live event on June 30th, 2023, where she competed against Becky Lynch in a singles match. Prior to that, she had been absent from the company from September 2022 until her surprise return in the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January 2023.
